FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with multiple felonies for allegedly shooting into a home in Rural Hall after his girlfriend was fired from her job, according to a press release.
On Oct. 10, the FCSO responded to a home on Pullman Drive where multiple bullets were shot into the residence.
The FCSO worked with the King Police Department to determine that the shooting was related to a similar incident in which shots were fired into a vacant car in the parking lot of a Walmart in King.
Investigators with both agencies determined that these incidents were suspected to be in retaliation for the suspect’s girlfriend being fired from her employer.
Larry Keaton Brown, 72, of Walnut Cove, was charged with eight counts of felony discharging a firearm into an occupied property and one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Brown was previously charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction after various rounds of ammunition, numerous firearms and homemade explosive devices and materials were found in his home after the shooting in King. He was also charged with injury to real property and firing a gun within the city limits by the King Police Department.
He is currently being held at the Stokes County Detention Center under no bond for the shooting in King.
