CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s National Burnt Ends Day, a chance to celebrate one of the tastiest BBQ celebrations.
According to the National Day Calendar, burnt ends come from the point of a brisket. The name comes from the longer cooking time required for tender brisket, and because of this, the thinner points become a little charred and tougher than the rest of the meat.
Burnt ends taste amazing on sandwiches, in stews, or on their own. They can be sweet, spicy, and of course smoky, with a hint of hickory or cherry tantalizing the senses.
One way to celebrate the day is by sampling some burnt ends! Yelp has put together a list of the best places to get burnt ends in western Massachusetts.
