Natalie and Nicole Appleton found success with All Saints before continuing their journey as the duo Appleton. Now, the pair make a spectacular return with Falling Into You, a track that takes their signature early-2000s sound and propels it firmly into 2026. Natalie and Nicole have reunited with producer Gareth Young, who was behind the Appleton hit Fantasy, alongside his new songwriting partner Bnann.
Nicole says: “We hadn’t worked with Gareth since we made our Everything’s Eventual album, so we were amazed at how quickly everything clicked into place again. This song just flowed out of us because it’s very much the story of us.” She continues: “The entire music scene has changed since we put out the first Appleton album. We’re going into this with no expectations and enjoying the process of writing and performing again for the love of it.”
Falling Into You pairs the flawless vocals of Natalie and Nicole, nostalgically conjuring the magic of their biggest hits Don’t Worry and Fantasy. We have high hopes that the duo are working towards a full-length follow-up to their 2003 debut Everything’s Eventual, as Falling Into You is exactly the comeback we could have hoped for.
Speaking about why it was the right time to reunite, the duo share: “It was actually our kids, Gene and Ace, who suggested we reunite,” Nicole recalls. “Gene said out of the blue, ‘Why don’t you do something with Auntie Nat again?’ And as soon as the idea was out there, we both realised how much fun it could be.” “I’m just so excited to be singing with Nic again,” adds Natalie.
