(FOX40.COM) — After extreme weather force the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to postpone their Sacramento walk in May, the organization has rescheduled for June 15.

The walk will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will take place at the Sacramento Scottish Rite Temple at 6151 H Street in Sacramento.

So far, the event will include 991 participants and 111 teams, according to the NAMI Walks website.

The goal of NAMI is to help reduce stigmas around mental illness and hosts its walks annually on the first weekend of May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month.

NAMI Walks is one of the largest mental health resource fairs in Sacramento County.
