Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi announced that they’ve adopted a baby — and there’s nothing “strange” about the way they are feeling at the moment.
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 21. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
Along with an illustration of a willow tree, the couple signed off with, “And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Brown and Bongiovi confirmed that they were dating in November 2021 when Brown shared a blurry photo of them seemingly kissing while riding the London Eye.
Jon Bon Jovi couldn’t seem prouder to welcome a new daughter-in-law to the family.
They made their red carpet debut in March 2022, when they attended the BAFTA Film Awards together wearing matching black outfits. Then, Brown took to Instagram on Jan. 1, 2023 to talk about her “partner for life,” Bongiovi.
Brown indicated that she and Bongiovi got engaged when she shared a cute black-and-white photo showing a ring on her left hand.
“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all,” she captioned the pic using a Taylor Swift lyric.
Brown later revealed in a “The Tonight Show” interview that the proposal occurred underwater, while the couple was diving. During the dive, Bongiovi handed her a shell.
“I turn it over and it’s a ring. And I was like — and I like looked at him and he was (trying to speak),” but it came across as underwater noise and bubbles, Brown said.
Brown and Bongiovi secretly tied the knot in a “small family wedding,” which Bongiovi’s famous rocker father, Jon Bon Jovi, confirmed in a TV interview in May 2024.
“They’re great. They’re absolutely fantastic,” he said, adding, “It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is as happy as can be.”
Brown posted photos of her big sister’s wedding on Instagram on Aug. 15. In one of the shots, she is walking down the aisle holding a baby.
We can only imagine that Bon Jovi has been rocking his granddaughter to sleep with some spectacular lullabyes.
