Metro Parks Offering Free Parking Dates During 2026 – KXL

PORTLAND, OR – If your new year’s resolution to get out into nature more often, then Metro Parks and Nature has got you covered, with 19 scheduled days of free parking in the coming year.

Free parking will be available on select dates at Oxbow Regional ParkBlue Lake Regional ParkBroughton BeachM. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp and Chinook Landing Marine Park on  Jan.1, 15 and 19; Feb. 16 and 19; March 19; April 16; May 21; June 18 and 19; July 16; Aug. 20; Sept. 17; Oct. 12 and 15; Nov. 11, 19 and 27; and Dec. 17.  Parking at all other Metro parks and boat ramps is free year-round.

In addtion, Metro Parks and Nature is offering a series of free workshops, nature hikes and stewardship events throughout the year. Most have limited capacity, so registering in advance is required. All events are subject to change; check oregonmetro.gov/calendar for the most up-to-date information.
