Massive fire destroys home El Dorado County

(FOX40.COM) — A home in El Dorado County was destroyed after a massive fire broke out on Friday night.

Around 8:11 p.m. several firefighters responded to a home that was fully engulfed in flames on Pleasant Valley Road near Cedar Ravine Road. El Dorado County Fire units were assisted by Diamond Springs El Dorado Fire Protection District, CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit , Rescue Fire Department , and Pioneer Fire Protection District.

Roadways were closed in the surrounding area for almost three hours- until the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
