CHESTER, S.C. – Police are conducting an investigation after a 25-year-old man was shot and killed in Chester overnight.
It happened around 1 a.m. near Spring Street and White Street. Police responded to the area after receiving an alert indicating gunfire in the area.
Upon arrival, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was transported to the hospital for immediate treatment but died early Saturday morning.
The Chester Police Department and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are actively investigating the shooting.
