Man killed on Atomic Drive in Cumberland Co; deputies accuse Fayetteville man of killing him

Authorities are searching for a man Thursday night they say killed someone earlier in the day in Cumberland County.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Atomic Drive in Spring Lake.

When they arrived, the learned Damonte Larsen, 22, of Spring Lake, was shot and transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Deputies said 21-year-old Tresean Alexander Green of Fayetteville is charged with first-degree murder in connection to Larsen’s death.

The Sheriff’s Office said it would release more information as it becomes available.
