Man found shot to death in Taunton shed, homicide investigation underway

Officials are investigating a Saturday morning homicide of a 32-year-old man on Highland Street in Taunton. 

Taunton police were called to 155 Highland St. at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a dead person in a “furnished shed,” Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement. 

Upon arrival, investigators found a man, later identified as Jhonny Lajoie of Taunton, shot to death. 

State Police and Taunton police are conducting a investigation into the death that officials called “extremely active.”

No further information was released as of Sunday evening.
