A man died in Parker County after a 2,500-pound concrete cattle feed trough fell on him on Dec. 30.

According to a release from Parker County Emergency Services, the incident happened in the area around Old Tin Top Road. The feed trough was reportedly being offloaded from a flatbed semi truck trailer when it fell and landed on the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The release said an investigation is underway by the Parker County Sheriff’s Office and the Parker County Medical Examiner’s Office. No further details were available. The Star-Telegram left a phone message for Nicholas Wells, Parker County Emergency Services District 6 chief.
