HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man accused of using bear spray on a hotel contractor is now facing several additional charges tied to similar incidents across Houston, according to court records.

Houston police say Robert Edward Glasscock sprayed a contractor at the downtown Club Quarters Hotel on Wednesday night, where investigators say he had been staying for several weeks. But newly obtained court documents show Glasscock is also accused of spraying a worker at a Galleria-area Best Buy and attacking two women at a Heights-area Kroger last year.

One of those women, Brittany Harris, spoke publicly about the incident for the first time to ABC13.

Court records allege that in November, Glasscock walked past Harris as she was about to enter the Kroger on Studemont Street and suddenly sprayed her with a chemical irritant.

“I said, ‘What did you spray me?’ – but I was cursing,” Harris said. “Then it started getting stronger and stronger. He just turned around, looked at me, shrugged his shoulders, and went into the store.”

According to investigators, once Glasscock was inside Kroger, he then allegedly groped a second woman. That woman told ABC13 she quickly pulled out her phone and recorded video of Glasscock. In the video, you can see Glasscock use the self-checkout line, turn around, and smile. Court records show the video, plus a license plate taken down by another eyewitness, helped police track down Glasscock.

“That was scary because I didn’t know what it was, and it lingered forever,” Harris said. “Now I jump and react any time someone comes around me.”

Court records also show earlier in 2025, Glasscock was accused of spraying an employee at a Galleria-area Best Buy in August.

Real estate records show Glasscock had lived in a Montrose patio home complex for more than 15 years. His Montrose neighbors told ABC13 that he was always fairly reclusive, but within the past year, they noticed increasingly erratic behavior. They say he moved out of the home and into a hotel several months ago.

Those neighbors also pointed to Glasscock’s social media posts, including one in which he mentioned installing cameras outside his hotel room. According to records, hotel staff later asked him to remove the equipment. Glasscock also posted numerous times on social media about Elon Musk, Vladimir Putin, and other international figures.

His alleged victim at the Club Quarters Hotel says he was simply there to refresh the hotel’s plants in the lobby when he began feeling a burning sensation. Glasscock was arrested on site, and should have his first court appearance soon.
