Man arrested in stabbing of multiple people in Fairfield

(BCN) — A 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing multiple people in Fairfield early Sunday morning, according to police.

Jose Reyes Quinones was taken into custody after officers responded at about 12:35 a.m. Sunday to a report of a man suffering from multiple stab wounds in the 200 block of North Texas Street, Fairfield police said on social media.

Officers provided aid to the man, who was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. Police then learned that a woman reported a man running up and down North Texas Street who was stabbing people after attacking her.

Police encountered a man matching the suspect description and took him into custody. He was identified as Reyes Quinones and both victims identified him as their alleged attacker.

He was booked into Solano County Jail for an outstanding warrant as well as multiple alleged offenses that included assault with a deadly weapon, according to police.
