Man arrested for making threats on Folsom High School campus, police say

(FOX40.COM) — A 53-year-old man was arrested after making threats on the Folsom High School campus on Wednesday, according to the Folsom Police Department.

FPD said officers responded to reports of a man walking on the campus while making threatening statements around 6:32 p.m.

The suspect, Curt Taras of Folsom, was located and arrested in the 1700 block of Iron Point Road.

He was found to be in possession of a gun and a high-capacity magazine.

Taras was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on multiple charges, including:

  • Possession of concealed firearm in vehicle
  • Possession of high-capacity magazine
  • Possession of firearm within 1,000 feet of a school
  • Possession of knife on school campus
  • Violation of court order
