HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A man who was wanted for murder after a body was found in a burning pickup truck on Christmas morning was arrested, records show.
Court documents show that Ernesto Bustamante, 44, was arrested on Friday.
Bustamante was charged with two felony counts, one for murder and the other for tampering or fabricating physical evidence, the documents state.
ABC13 first reported on the incident on Christmas morning, after firefighters responded to the fire in the 10000 block of Fellows Road near Del Papa Street.

The records say that Bustamante shot a man with a firearm in the head and chest and then burned his body and vehicle. The court documents also say he lives just down the way from where he allegedly dumped the burning truck.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Bustamante was hanging out at the victim’s residence, and an argument is what led to the deadly shooting.
The court documents also say that Bustamante is not a U.S. citizen and is subject to deportation by immigration officials.
Officials did not immediately set a bond for Bustamante.
