GRAHAM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man was airlifted to the hospital after he was shot and his pickup truck was stolen in Graham on Saturday afternoon.

At around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, police came to the 1000 block of Jimmie Kerr Road after getting a report of a person shot with injuries.

The victim told investigators that he was followed to a business on Jimmie Kerr Road by two men in a gray pickup truck and one of those men confronted him inside the business.

Police say the victim was shot and the suspect stole the keys to his pickup truck and drove away.

Investigators say the suspect was seen driving west toward Greensboro on Interstate 40 in the stolen truck. The second suspect drove away in the gray pickup truck that is described as a late 90s-early 2000s model Dodge Ram 1500 with no tailgate, dark tinted windows and black aftermarket wheels.

The suspect accused of shooting the victim is described as a Black man who is 5-feet-6-inches tall. He was wearing a gray striped polo, gym shorts and has a short haircut.

The victim’s stolen pickup truck was found a short time later; unoccupied in Guilford County.

The Graham Fire Department says that they airlifted the victim to a hospital for further medical attention.

There is no further update on the condition of the victim at this time.
