WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) — A man is behind bars and being accused of at least two random assaults in Wake and Franklin counties that sparked panic online.
Saturday afternoon police say Anthony Hall approached a woman in Sam’s Club parking lot and demanded money before assaulting her.
That’s when two nearby witnesses tried to help, but he assaulted both of them and stole a car.
Police say State Highway Patrol spotted him shortly after and chased him to North Hills in Raleigh.
Authorities say there he got out, ran, and tackled a security guard before finally being arrested.
This is when police say they started putting pieces together and realized Saturday wasn’t his first crime.
They say Hall was the same suspect in an assault in the Food Lion parking lot in Youngsville from Friday night.
He is now facing 9 charges and is at the Wake County Detention Center with no bond.
