Joanna Gaines joins Mattel’s celebrity Barbie lineup with a signature doll and 70s inspired townhouse she helped design.
WACO, Texas — Magnolia co-founder and “Fixer Upper” star Joanna Gaines is being immortalized in plastic as the latest addition to Mattel’s celebrity Barbie doll collection.
In a blog post made by the star, Gaines revealed her doll will come complete with pink roller skates, turquoise earrings and a white graphic t-shirt that says 1978, the year she was born.
The collaboration also includes a detailed 1970s townhouse Gaines helped design. According to Gaines, the townhouse will feature mid-century design elements Gaines remembered from her own childhood dollhouse, including breezeblock exterior details and a pink-and-white color scheme.
The star also shared the home includes dozens of removable stickers featuring potted plants, home decor, kitchen essentials and more allowing those playing with the set to creatively customize the space.
Pre-orders for the collectible are currently being accepted at target.com, with the dolls expected to hit Target store shelves in December. The doll will also be available early exclusively in-person at The Silos in Waco, Texas, during the Silobration weekend Oct. 23-25.
The collectible joins Mattel’s lineup of celebrity-inspired dolls, which has previously featured other notable figures from entertainment and popular culture.
