Looking Glass, the American company that has developed various screens intended to display holograms over the past few years, has now presented a new hologram screen called “Looking Glass Go”.

Looking Glass Go

Looking Glass Go is described as a portable holographic screen that can be carried in a pocket. However, it does not have a battery, so it needs to be connected via USB-C to the regular power grid or an external battery. The screen is 7.9 inches and has a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels (491ppi). It also comes equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which can be used to transfer holograms to the screen.

Looking Glass Go (2023)

Like Looking Glass’s previous screens, Looking Glass Go will be financed through crowdfunding. By joining their Kickstarter campaign, you can get a Looking Glass Go for about $200, with delivery in June 2024. Later, the price is said to be around $300.

In the video clip above, you can take a closer look at Looking Glass Go, and they also describe some of the technology behind how the holograms for the screen are created.
