(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a fatal vehicle crash in Citrus Heights on Sunday night.

According to Metro Fire, firefighters were dispatched to the intersection of Madison Avenue and Fleetwood Drive at around 8:20 p.m. for reports of a vehicle crash.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a multi-vehicle crash involving an overturned pickup truck and a second vehicle with major damage.
Fire officials said that the emergency responders pronounced the driver of the second vehicle dead at the scene.
At this time, the Citrus Heights Police Department and the California Highway Patrol remain on the scene and are working to learn more about what caused the crash.
