Aidan has been a Culture Fix favourite for some time, with the star shining as Malta’s premiere pop talent. The star recently gave us EP Wild, Wild, Wild, a testament to his finely-tuned skills as a vocalist, producer and songwriter, but reaches new heights with his tremendous new single Taste.
Taste is co-written by Aidan and Joep Steven Van Den Boom – the latter who also produces the number. Aidan shares: “I wrote “Taste” at home with a beautiful team, right after my biggest concert to date. Creating it was honestly pure joy — and getting to write and direct my own music video again felt incredible.”
The musician adds: “This song marks the beginning of a new era for me… a more grown-up sound, a little bolder, a little braver. And before you ask — no, this isn’t my Eurovision entry. This is the first song from my new chapter, and the perfect warm-up before things get emotional.”
Aidan also recently announced that he would be throwing his hat back into the ring for Malta’s Eurovision national selection – maybe his cowboy hat from Ritmu? If Taste is indicative of the sound of the track that Aidan has entered into the selection, then we have our fingers crossed that his Eurovision dream comes true.
On his return to Malta’s Eurovision Song Contest selection, Aidan shared with fans: “This time, I feel more prepared than I have ever been. More certain in who I am as an artist. More confident in the story I want to tell. And more determined than ever to stand on that stage. Not just for myself, but for every single person who has believed in me over the last five years.” He adds: “Some nights it felt like chasing the midnight sky, other nights your voices chanting my name sent a cold shiver down my spine. Malta’s Eurovision journey has been built on passion and resilience. Maybe this is the moment we dare to achieve a great result again. The time to chase Malta’s dream, together.”
