STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Rapper Lil Nas X, who was arrested last week after a bizarre stroll along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City where he was seen walking in underwear and cowboy boots, was charged Monday with three felony counts of battery against a police officer and a single count of resisting arrest.

The 26-year-old rapper and singer from Atlanta, whose real name is Montero Hill, was arraigned Monday in a Van Nuys courtroom.

He pleaded not guilty and was ordered to attend four narcotics anonymous meetings per week or attend outpatient treatment.

His bail was set at $75,000.

Hill was arrested Thursday after he was seen walking nearly nude on a street in a video recorded by a passing driver. He was also hospitalized for a possible overdose.

The footage was provided to the entertainment website TMZ.

When officers arrived at the scene, Hill charged toward them, an LAPD spokesperson said.

After charging at arriving police, he was taken into custody, but the officers, suspecting a drug overdose, took him to a hospital first, an LAPD spokesperson said. There was no further word on his condition, but he was released from the hospital and taken to jail after just a few hours.

Hill is best known for his 2018 hit “Old Town Road,” which merged country and hip-hop. It spent a record 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Known for his genre-bending, innovating sounds and style, his first full studio album, 2021’s “Montero,” went to No. 2 on the Billboard album chart and was nominated for a Grammy for album of the year.
