WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) — A woman who’s a legislative assistant to a North Carolina senator is facing arson charges in Wake County.
The Raleigh Police Department said 38-year-old Diane Cook set a home on fire in northeast Raleigh last Thursday.
Authorities said there were two people inside the home on Boca Point.
Police didn’t reveal the connection between the two parties or a motive, or whether anyone was injured.
Cook is the legislative assistant for State Sen. Norman Sanderson.
Cook appeared in court on Tuesday, where a Wake County judge set her bond at $150,000.
Cook’s next court date is Dec. 16.
