Five years after the death of Rush drummer and founding member, Neil Peart, the band is heading back on tour.
And, on Monday, co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced that the upcoming Fifty Something Tour will be headed to Philadelphia.
Lee and Lifeson, earlier this month, unveiled the upcoming tour, but on Monday, the remaining members of Rush announced a plan to add 17 additional cities — including Philadelphia — to the upcoming tour schedule.
Rush will be heading to Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026.
“We are blown away from the response to the announcement we made a few weeks ago that we’re going back on tour. I cannot tell you how surprising and overwhelmed we are and the way you guys have welcomed Anika Nilles. It’s been very heartwarming, and I know that she’s very appreciative of that,” the band said in a statement to announce the new tour stops. “We’re even more excited to get back on stage and play with her and to go through the plethora of songs that we’re planning.”
Nilles will be playing drums on the upcoming tour, organizers said.

The Artist Presale event will then begin on Monday, October 27, 2025 at noon in the US and Canada.
General on-sale begins on Rush.com on Friday, October 31 at noon for the US and Canada.
