56 Social Cafe, set in the former J. Pistone Market in Shaker Heights, is the community’s new all-day cafe.

Scene dining editor Doug Trattner had flashbacks, in the best way, of Nighttown when visiting Edwins. The spirit of the old Cleveland Heights haunt is alive and well in the hands of Brandon Chrostowski, who has crafted a journey through French cuisine in multiple rooms and bars with multiple menus.
Nightjar, a new cocktail and jazz lounge, will soon be opening its doors at Eton. Partners Sam Friedman and Michael Paley believe there is a need for an east-side cocktail bar that isn’t housed in a restaurant.
And, in case you missed it, Cordelia’s Vinnie Cimino was recognized as one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs of 2025.
