Kyle Alessandro follows his first post-Eurovision single Model, with a change of pace, releasing the emotive pop number Rosary. The song explores the complex feelings of guilt and forgiveness that Kyle experienced about the loss of his grandmother. The track is set to feature on Kyle’s upcoming album
Kyle shares: “Rosary is personal to me because I had missed calls from my Spanish grandmother (mi yaya) before she passed away. After that, I kept replaying everything in my head and asking myself what I could have done differently. The song is about guilt, forgiveness, and those thoughts that keep coming back, like counting beads on a rosary.
So I hope this song can be helpful, or just knowing that someone else out there has felt the same way you might have and remember, never lose your light.”
The Norwegian star sings: “For what I’ve done / It’s making me bleed, yet I just keep on going ’round / Whatever you need, whenever I plead, Lord, help me out / I’m counting the beads on this rosary, forever, forever”
Kyle writes the deeply personal lyrics with Stian Gunby and Trygve Løkka Wølner, with production from A10 helping the track further shine.
