The chain is offering a limited-time Championship Dozen and offering a $1 Original Glazed add-on for fans watching Monday’s game.
WASHINGTON — Krispy Kreme is rolling out a football-themed doughnut lineup to mark Monday’s big college game day.
The doughnut chain announced it will offer a limited-time Championship Dozen on Monday, Jan. 19, giving fans a sweet option whether they’re watching the game between the University of Miami Hurricanes and the Indiana University Hoosiers at home or gathering with friends and family.
The Championship Dozen includes six football-shaped doughnuts in colors matching the competing teams: three dipped in orange-colored icing and three dipped in crimson-colored icing. The box also includes six of Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed doughnuts. Customers can customize their box by choosing up to six orange or six crimson football doughnuts instead.
The Orange Football Doughnut is an unglazed shell filled with white Kreme, dipped in orange vanilla icing and finished with green icing football laces. The Crimson Football Doughnut is an unglazed shell filled with white Kreme and dipped in crimson chocolate icing topped with white icing laces.
In addition to the special dozen, Krispy Kreme is offering a promotion through Monday, Jan. 19. Customers who buy any dozen, including the Championship Dozen, can add an Original Glazed dozen for $1, with a limit of two per guest.
The Championship Dozen and the $1 Original Glazed offer will be available in shops and for pickup or delivery through Krispy Kreme’s app and website.
