The City of Kings Mountain is hosting Earth Day at the Gateway Trail on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Kings Mountain Gateway Trail.

Kings Mountain Gateway Trail is at 807 S. Battleground Avenue, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

The free event will feature:

  • Live zoo animals
  • Dinosaur friends
  • Vendors
  • Woody the Owl
  • Drum circle
  • Woodworking
  • Food vendors
  • Live encampments
  • Music Jamboree by the Dancing Fleas
  • Releasing 200 Painted Lady butterflies back into their natural habitat
