And you get a house, and you get a house! Kim Kardashian’s annual tradition of showing off the extravagant gingerbread house is back, but this year there are some new additions.
The Kardashians star, 42, announced via her Instagram Story on Thursday, December 8, that along with the decadent family home made out of cookies created by the Solvang Bakery sent by her mom, Kris Jenner, her four children, North, 9, Chicago, 4, Saint, 6 and Psalm, 3, also got to create their own miniature cookie-based homes.
The Skims founder’s elaborate multi-story family house contained lights and even a little Santa sitting by the fireplace. “This one was delivered from my Mom, how cute — Santa is sitting in here and upstairs there’s lights,” she said while showing off the detailed decoration.
She then went on to show off each of her children’s creations, starting with Psalm. The youngest child of the reality star and ex-husband Kanye West picked out a cozy silver cottage with gumdrops and miniature trees covered in snow surrounding the home. To top it off, his name is displayed on the roof while a gingerbread man keeps guard. Kim noted that she would let her son keep his in his bedroom and that they “smell so good.”
Next, the TV personality showed off Chicago’s creation, which was a “rainbow” house. Attached to the colorful roof were the names of her cousins and friends: Dream, True, Stormi and Dove. All five of them had themselves recreated as gingerbread characters standing in front of the delicious household ready to celebrate the holidays.
Saint, meanwhile, opted for a more creative home: his very own tropical holiday gingerbread creation. His mom described it as a “Tommy Bahama tropical holiday surf house” and noted it was “so cute.” Surrounding the home were tiny palm trees and even a little grill. The ground used brown sugar to mimic sand, and Kim joked that the sweet powder would probably be gone soon. Like his sister Chicago, Saint also had his friends’ names added to the roof and had several gingerbread people to coincide.
The businesswoman’s eldest daughter, North, chose a larger and more traditional gingerbread home. Like her siblings, her name was patched on the roof alongside some of her closest friends — like Jessica Simpson’s daughter Maxwell — and her two dogs Sake and Sushi. Each name on the roof had a corresponding cookie placed out front the residence.

The main staple goes all out and even has battery operated lights so the family can see inside the elaborate cookie mansion. It is adorned with windows and a grand fireplace where they keep an edible Santa Claus.
The quaint cottage made for Psalm is simple yet sweet! It has several tiny snow-covered trees and little gumdrops surrounding the abode.
Chicago’s colorful home screams nothing but fun while honoring her family and close friends. The outside also contains little trees with multi-colored presents and gumdrops surrounding the structure.
Cowabunga! Saint’s holiday-themed surf shack takes inspiration from Tommy Bahama’s design. Instead of pine trees, the tropical creation has palm trees and the gingerbread people are decked out in swimwear.
