KCRA 3 team remembers promotions producer Chris King

BACK TO YOU ALL RIGHT MARK THANK YOU. WE JUST WANTED TO SHARE A MOMENT HERE WITH SOME NEWS THAT’S BEEN REALLY TOUGH FOR OUR TEAM. WE’RE SADDENED TO SHARE THE PASSING OF A MEMBER OF OUR KCRA 3 IN MY 58 TEAM. A REAL FRIEND AND AN ARTIST AND A REAL PROFESSIONAL. JUST A WONDERFUL PERSON TO WORK WITH. EARLIER THIS WEEK WE LOST CHRIS KING AFTER HE WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND CHRIS WORKED BEHIND THE SCENES AS A SENIOR. PROMOTIONS PRODUCER AND OUR CREATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, AND HE WAS PART OF OUR TEAM FOR THE LAST 16 YEARS. AND HE WAS JUST A JOY TO WORK WITH. ABSOLUTELY. CHRIS BROUGHT A SMILE AND A LAUGH AND JUST A LOT OF HEART AND FRIENDSHIP TO EVERY PROJECT. HE WORKED ON. HE WAS A TALENTED, CREATIVE MEMBER OF OUR TEAM, ALSO A THREE TIME NORCAL EMMY NOMINATED TELEVISION WRITER AND PRODUCER. AND BEYOND HIS WORK WITH US HERE AT THE STATION, HE WAS AN OSCAR QUALIFIED, AWARD WINNING FILMMAKER FOR. YEAH. HIS FILMS, BY THE WAY, HAVE PLAYED IN MORE THAN 225 FILM FESTIVALS. SO TO SAY HE WAS LEGIT IS NOT AN OVERSTATEMENT FOR SURE. CHRIS WAS ALSO A MILITARY VETERAN AND HE WAS A PROUD FATHER AND OUR CONDOLENCES TO ALL OF CHRIS’S FRIENDS AND FAMILY. UH, CERTAINLY HIS WORK FAMILY HERE A LOT OF US HAVE BEEN HURTING HERE FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS. UH, JUST STILL DEALING WITH THE SHOCK OF HIS PASSING. UH, HE WILL BE MISSED. AND I JUST REMEMBER HOW GOOD HE WAS AT MAKING. HE JUST DID SUCH A GREAT JOB OF MAKING EVERYONE HERE LOOK GOOD. YOU KNOW, IT WAS JUST AMAZING TO WATCH HIM WORK. CHRIS, WE WILL MIS

KCRA 3 is saddened to share the loss of a member of our creative services team.On Monday, Chris King was involved in a car crash and did not survive his injuries.Chris worked behind the scenes as a senior promotions producer. He was part of the KCRA 3 team for the last 16 years.Colleagues said Chris brought a smile and a laugh to every project he worked on and that he was a talented creative mind.Beyond his work at the station, Chris produced his own films. He was a military veteran and a proud father.The KCRA 3 team shares condolences with all of Chris’ friends and family. Chris King was 59 years old.
