Joshua Bassett Truly Put On A Show In Los Angeles

The Golden Years Tour kicked off in Phoenix, Arizona on July 30th and ended its North American leg on September 3rd in Los Angeles, California and we were there to see it all. Stemming as a promotional tour for his debut album, The Golden Years, Joshua Bassett lit up the stage and brought an insane amount of energy to Los Angeles.
Not only did Joshua sing some of our favorite songs from his new album, he also sang some our favorite songs from his EP, Sad Songs in a Hotel Room and some of his other popular singles. Saying the fans screamed their lungs out when he surprised us with an acoustic version of the song ‘Sad Songs in a Hotel Room’ would be an understatement.
Before each and every song, Joshua gave us a brief introduction and walked us through the thought processes behind his songs. He really made us feel like we were more than just his fans. But don’t get it twisted, for every slow, heart-wrenching song, there was an upbeat dancing song that made us forget it was a Tuesday night. We were dancing like there was no tomorrow with some of his top songs like ‘Secrets’ and ‘Feel Something.’
Halfway through his set, Joshua brought out Jenna Raine to sing their song, ‘Don’t Let Me Down,’ as well as pulling three fans up on stage during ‘Circles’ to line dance with him. Joshua was so happy to be on that stage, and he made it very clear when he talked about how his music not only inspired him to keep going, but hoped that it inspired other people to keep going and not give up on their dreams.
During ‘Different,’ towards the end of his set, Joshua walked through the crowd and gave soooo many fans little handshakes as a small token of gratitude for helping him get to where he is now. It was so touching and sweet, and we were beyond excited to be there, experiencing this moment with everyone else.
Back in August when Joshua first released The Golden Years, we were absolutely taken aback by the songs, and hearing them in person just made the songs that much more connectable. He put on a show of a lifetime in Los Angeles and we would do anything to see it again!
Check out the rest of the gallery from the show! You can still catch Joshua on tour on the European leg of The Golden Years Tour by getting tickets now!
