As the new year settles in, Joji returns with a signature dose of melancholic introspection. The critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer today unveiled “LOVE YOU LESS,” a slow-burning indie-rock ballad that serves as the final lead single before the arrival of his highly anticipated fourth studio album, PISS IN THE WIND, out February 6, 2026 via Palace Creek.
Produced by Ricky Reed and Nate Mercereau, “LOVE YOU LESS” finds Joji wrestling with the contradictions of a strained romance. Over a gently gritty melody, he poses the haunting, central question: “If I love you less, will you love me more?” The track, accompanied by a stark visualizer, reinforces the artistry that has cemented Joji’s place as a voice for a generation—turning unresolved feelings into resonant, enduring anthems.
This release continues the steady rollout for PISS IN THE WIND, an album poised to bridge the sonic evolution of Joji’s decade-long career. It balances the brooding, melancholic songwriting of his roots with ambitious, atmospheric production. The singles released thus far have already amassed a staggering 150 million+ streams globally, signaling a powerful demand for his return.
The campaign began quietly last fall with “PIXELATED KISSES,” Joji’s first new music since 2022’s SMITHEREENS. The track exploded upon release, debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 and generating tens of millions of streams within hours. It was followed by the introspective “If It Only Gets Better,” a nod to his lo-fi origins, and the potent ballad “Past Won’t Leave My Bed,” which echoes the emotional weight of his global smash “Glimpse of Us.” Joji also showcased his collaborative flair with an expertly crafted remix of “PIXELATED KISSES” featuring rapper Yeat.
With “LOVE YOU LESS” setting a contemplative tone for the year, the countdown to PISS IN THE WIND is firmly on. The album promises a cohesive journey through the distinct sounds Joji has mastered—from gritty ballads to textured, experimental pop—marking a pivotal moment in an already influential career.
“LOVE YOU LESS” is available to stream now. PISS IN THE WIND is available for pre-save ahead of its February 6, 2026 release.
