Investigation underway after man was shot to death at southeast Houston sports bar, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death at a bar in southeast Houston on Monday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

HPD Lt. Larry Crowson says that officers responded to the shooting call at 9 p.m. at Big K’s Sports Bar and Grill on 12805 Cullen Boulevard. Upon arrival, police say that officers found a man who had been shot at least once. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD says that they are getting conflicting statements on what led up to the shooting, including that the man may have shot himself.

Furthermore, police say they have not recovered a weapon.

According to HPD, homicide investigators are headed to the scene.
