The brilliant MONA takes the stage for Bulgaria’s Natsionalna Selektsiya 2026 as the country seeks to choose its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Culture Fix’s Andrew caught up with MONA to find out all about her preparations for the contest, explore her artistry in the world of Bulgarian folklore music, and discuss her experiences as a proud Eurovision fan.
MONA has impressed with her singles Сила and Жива, building a reputation as one of Bulgaria’s most talented artists, celebrating the country’s rich culture through her music. She also reflects on her closeness to her grandmother and how this has influenced her as an artist, while celebrating contemporary Eurovision favourites such as Nemo and her Bulgarian compatriots Kristian Kostov and Victoria.
