Indie Film Release Guide: September 19th [An ONTD Original]

[ad_1]

Demon Slayer may win the box office for a second weekend in a row, but there are a couple of major studios releases coming for the scraps. Universal is releasing Him, a Jordan Peele produced (not directed, though you could be forgiven for thinking that from the marketing) horror film, and Sony is taking us on A Big Bold Beautiful Journey from Kogonada.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Five” – Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures, and Columbia Pictures. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: September 12th, September 5th, and August 29th.
