In new ‘Landman’ episode: TCU’s campus, Bowie House hotel and more

Several Fort Worth references and locations appeared in the latest “Landman” episode.

The Taylor Sheridan co-created show returned for its 10-episode second season on Nov. 16 and will air weekly until mid-January. The Paramount+ show filmed in and around Fort Worth over the spring and summer. “Landman” was recently renewed for a third season.

TCU, Frost Tower, 61 Osteria restaurant, the historic Oakwood Cemetery, Cattleman’s Steak House in the Stockyards, River Crest Country Club and Will Rogers Memorial Center have already appeared in the show this season. Characters in the show have also mentioned the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman.

Here’s a look at all the locations and references featured in season 2, episode 9, “Plans, Tears and Sirens,” which premiered on Sunday, Jan. 11.

Mary’s Cafe

At 3:10, Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) talks to T.L. (Sam Elliott) outside.

T.L. is wearing the Mary’s Cafe shirt he picked up in season 2, episode 7. Mary’s Cafe is located in Strawn, Texas, at 119 Grant Ave.

North Fort Worth house

At 7:45, Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) arrives at Charlie’s (Guy Burnett) house to apologize.

This was filmed in north Fort Worth at 1228 Meredith Creek Lane. The house is in the same neighborhood as Tommy’s house at 12035 Vista Ranch Way.

Westlake mansion

At 14:29, Gallino (Andy Garcia) is getting ready for the day at his home.

This was filmed in Westlake at 1708 Oak Glen Lane. Zillow estimates that the house is worth $9.9 million.

TCU’s campus

At 16:45, Angela (Ali Larter) drops off Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) at TCU.

These scenes were filmed on-location at the Fort Worth university. Several locations are seen across campus, including Colby Hall, Milton Daniel Hall and M.E. Sadler Hall.

Richard Blake

At 33:07, Angela makes a phone call to Rick (Richard Blake) about securing housing for Ainsley at the Bowie House hotel.

Rick is played by actor Richard Blake, who is based in Fort Worth and made his last film “The Actor” in Cowtown. The Star-Telegram spoke to Blake about the movie in 2024.

Bowie House

At 40 minutes, Angela and Ainsley are hanging out at Bowie House’s pool area.

This was filmed on-location at the Fort Worth hotel located at 3700 Camp Bowie Blvd.

Earlier in the episode, Angela mentions renting the Sorrel Suite for Ainsley. The suite is a corner room and includes a walk-in closet, king-size bed, master bathroom and floor-to-ceiling windows.
