The product was sold between July 2021 through July 2025 on various websites like Amazon, Walmart and Home Depot among others.

WASHINGTON — Vevor Ice Crushers were recalled Thursday after at least two had “thermal events” and one caught fire.

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission said about 11,650 were sold nationwide in the U.S. and an additional 1,060 were sold in Canada July 2021 through July 2025.

The ice crushers, which come in blue, white, silver, red and yellow, were sold online at Vevor.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Wayfair.com, HomeDepot.com and Lowes.com from around $40 to $86.

The products were advertised as Ice Shavers, Ice Crushers and Snow Cone Makers.

Impacted units have model number BY-300 and BY-300FS. “Vevor” and the model number are printed on a label on the top of the ice crusher.

Customers with the recalled product are asked to stop using it and to contact Sanven, the manufacturer, by emailing a photograph of the ice crusher with the unplugged power cord cut in half to recalling@vevor.com

Customers will receive a refund.

The machine works by someone feeding ice into the feed shoot, which leads to a cutter. The cutter inside then shaves/crushes the ice within the feed shoot.
