DENVER (KDVR) — On Saturday, Thornton police found human remains in a pond at Sage Creek Park.

The Thornton Police Department told FOX31 officers were called to the park, located near 128th Avenue and Jasmine Street, at around 12:15 p.m.

At this time, little information has been released other than officers were investigating human remains that were found. Officers said they are looking into the age and gender of the person.

Investigators will later determine if the case is a homicide and how the person died.

This is a developing story, and FOX31 will provide updates as they become available.
