HP Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) shares slipped slightly more than 1% in extended-hours trading on Tuesday as the enterprise networking company reported third-quarter results that topped expectations and boosted its profit outlook for the rest of the fiscal year.
The company also initiated guidance for the fourth-quarter, as it expects net revenue to be between $7.2B and $7.5B, with the mid-point slightly below the $7.44B estimate. Adjusted earnings are forecast to fall within a range of 48 to 52 cents per share, with the mid-point in-line with the 50 cents that analysts are expecting.
For the period ending July 31, Houston, Texas-based HP Enterprise (HPE) said it earned an adjusted 49 cents per share on $7 in revenue. Included in that $7B figure was $2.62B from its Compute segment and $836M from high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
A consensus of analysts were expecting HP Enterprise (HPE) to earn 47 cents per share on $7B in revenue.
The company will hold a conference call at 4:30 p.m. EST to discuss the results.
