Women’s hockey captain and gold medalist Hilary Knight got quite *** surprise from her teammates on Friday. They have picked her to be one of the two flag bearers at the 2026 Milan Cortina closing ceremony. I had tears in my eyes because, you know, we’ve, they, they voted to be able to represent Team USA and to be able to do that. Last Olympics with people you love, the rest of the delegation, so special. She will carry the American flag alongside figure skating gold medalist Evan Bates. He got the news from his wife and skating partner Madison Shock. Both champions will lead the US delegation in the closing ceremony Sunday in Verona at the Milan Cortina Olympics.
