Newly released data from Realtor.com for May shows that potential buyers and sellers in Calhoun County saw higher home sale prices than the previous month’s median of $170,000.
The median home sold for $179,900, an analysis of data from Realtor.com shows. That means May, the most recent month for which figures are available, was up 5.8% from April.
Compared to May 2024, the median home sales price was up 9% compared to $165,000.
Realtor.com sources sales data from real estate deeds, resulting in a few months’ delay in the data. The statistics don’t include homes currently listed for sale and aren’t directly comparable to listings data.

Looking only at single-family homes, the $173,250 median selling price in Calhoun County was up 1.9% in May from $170,000 the month prior. Since May 2024, the sales price of single-family homes was up 8.3% from a median of $160,000. No single-family homes sold for $1 million or more during the month.

Condominiums and townhomes increased by 13.3% in sales price during May to a median of $340,000 from $300,000 in April. Compared to May 2024, the sales price of condominiums and townhomes was up 35.5% from $251,000. No condominiums or townhomes sold for $1 million or more during May.

In May, the number of recorded sales in Calhoun County dropped by 4% since May 2024 — from 149 to 143. All residential home sales totaled $28.9 million.
Across Michigan, homes sold at a median of $260,000 during May, up 8.3% from $240,000 in April. There were 11,277 recorded sales across the state during May, down 6.7% from 12,090 recorded sales in May 2024.
