Hostages, Palestinian Prisoners Freed In Mideast Deal – KXL

UNDATED – Hamas has reportedly freed the remaining living hostages being held, while Israel released approximately 2,000 Palestinian prisoners as part of a cease-fire agreement brokered by the Trump administration.  In response, President Trump, who traveled to the Middle East, proclaimed the war between the Israelis and Hamas has come to an “end.”  He landed Monday afternoon in Egypt for the “Summit of Peace” where world leaders are to discuss the ceasefire plan.

While Israel and Hamas have yet to reach agreement on the next step, restoration of the Gaza Strip, Trump claimed the process is already underway.  Humanitarian organizations have said they’re preparing to surge aid into the war ravaged area, especially food that has been in short supply in many places.
