Fort Worth police officers responded about 3 p.m. to the shooting in the 6000 block of Grayson Street, police said.

Officers determined that a resident with a small caliber gun shot a man who was attempting to break into the home , police said.

The person shot was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said. No further details were released.
