Hillary Clinton Epstein Deposition Statement

Hillary Clinton spoke publicly on Thursday after spending more than six hours in a closed-door deposition with the Republican-led House Oversight Committee in Chappaqua, New York, as part of its ongoing investigation into the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Afterward, Clinton said she “answered every one of their questions as fully as I could based on what I knew,” and reiterated her longstanding denials of any meaningful connection to Epstein.

“I never met Jeffrey Epstein, never had any connection or communication with him,” she told reporters, adding that she did not recall encountering him and never flew on his plane or visited any of his properties.

Clinton also confirmed that she had known Maxwell only casually as an acquaintance, noting that Maxwell attended her daughter’s wedding as a guest of someone else.

The deposition came after weeks of tense negotiations, subpoenas, and threats of contempt of Congress against Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, who is also expected to testify on Friday. Republicans say they are probing connections between powerful public figures and Epstein after the Justice Department released millions of pages of files under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Clinton criticized the committee’s approach, saying it focused on repeated questions and even unrelated topics, and on political motivations rather than evidence.

No allegations of wrongdoing have been made against Clinton in connection with Epstein’s crimes, and the committee has not released the deposition transcript.
