Billy Graham Library will host a free, nearly week-long event beginning Monday, Feb. 16, to honor the life and legacy of its namesake, Charlotte-born preacher.

Graham died on Feb. 21, 2018, in Montreat. He was 99.

“Billy Graham dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel,” library officials said in a statement announcing “The Message Lives On: Remembering the Life and Legacy of Billy Graham.”

“Throughout his more than 80-year ministry, he preached the Good News of God’s love to millions of people around the world,” officials said.

The library reopened this month with an addition to “The Journey of Faith” tour exhibit and displays highlighting historic moments from the late evangelist’s global ministry.

A new permanent feature in “The Journey of Faith” tour exhibit is a section on Billy Graham’s statue that’s on display in the U.S. Capitol. Unveiled in 2024 as part of the National Statuary Hall Collection, the statue honors Graham’s life and gospel ministry.

The new section features a replica of the statue.
