Gwyneth Paltrow Details Ben Affleck’s “Perfect” Movie in Rare Comment About Past Romance

Gwyneth Paltrow likes them apples.

In fact, Good Will Hunting—written by and costarring the Goop founder’s ex Ben Affleck and Matt Damon—holds a special place in her heart.

“I love that movie,” Paltrow told Amy Poehler on the Jan. 6 episode of the Good Hang podcast. “It’s a perfect movie. I love it so much.”

And though the 53-year-old had previously worked with Robin Williams in 1991’s Hook, she didn’t really strike up a friendship with the late comedian until Affleck and Damon recruited him for their 1998 drama.

“I only got to know him a bit when Good Will Hunting came out,” Paltrow said of Williams, who died in 2014 at age 64, “because I was dating one of the people who wrote that movie and was in that movie.”

Indeed, Paltrow started dating Affleck, also 53, back in 1997 following her breakup with Brad Pitt. The pair were together on and off until 2000.

And, according to the Emma star, each man brought something different to the bedroom.
