CLEVELAND (WJW) — It just feels right to be No. 1.
With the Kansas City Royals losing Saturday, the Cleveland Guardians have clinched the top spot in the American League Central for the fifth time since 2016.
It's finally official!
With Kansas City losing to San Francisco, the #Guardians have won the 2024 American League Central Division title!
Cleveland has won 12 division titles, the most in the A.L. Central.@fox8news
The Guards lost to the St. Louis Cardinals Saturday night, but are hoping to keep winning through the end of the regular season (their last game is Sunday, Sept. 29) for a prime spot in the playoffs.
