GlobalWafers preparing for widespread tariffs as it expands in Sherman, CEO says

The Taiwanese tech giant building a $5 billion manufacturing plant in Sherman aims to mitigate potential tariff risks by shifting to local production. GlobalWafers, the world’s third-largest provider of silicon wafers, is expanding its plants in six of the nine countries where it operates, Doris Hsu, CEO of the company, said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
