“Music is my way of expression. With ‘POWER,’ I aim to inspire everyone who tunes in and bring a fresh energy to this new chapter.”

Global superstar and Korean music pioneer, G-DRAGON, has finally returned to the spotlight, electrifying fans with his latest single, “POWER.” Released through his longtime partner, Galaxy Corporation, and independent powerhouse label EMPIRE, the song is a punchy, adrenaline-filled anthem that showcases G-DRAGON’s unmistakable voice and artistry. “’POWER’ embodies the spirit of music itself,” the artist shares.
G-DRAGON co-wrote “POWER” with celebrated producers Tommy “TB Hits” Brown, Theron Thomas, and Steven Franks, marking his first solo release since his 2017 EP, KWON JI YONG. That EP topped the Billboard World Albums chart and Japan’s Oricon Digital Chart, solidifying G-DRAGON as the first Korean solo artist to reach such heights.
“G-DRAGON is a cultural trailblazer who has been instrumental in bringing K-pop to a global audience,” says Ghazi, Founder and CEO of EMPIRE. “We are thrilled to work with an artist of his magnitude as we continue to shape the future of music worldwide.”
With over 2 billion streams, G-DRAGON’s collaborations include musical heavyweights such as Diplo, Missy Elliott, Boys Noize, and Skrillex, demonstrating his reach across multiple genres. His talents have earned him accolades like the World’s Best Album at the 2014 World Music Awards, and he’s graced the covers of Elle Korea, Harper’s Bazaar Korea, Vogue Korea, and Hypebeast. Outside of music, he’s built an iconic fashion brand, PEACEMINUSONE, and led campaigns for top names like Chanel, Nike, and BMW.
His fanbase spans the globe, with Southeast Asia as a notable hub. Indonesia ranks as his top fanbase, followed by Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Taiwan, proving his influence transcends borders.
G-DRAGON’s influence has also extended to the art world; he was named among ArtNet’s Top 200 Art Collectors in 2019 and took part in Frieze Seoul’s Now & Next series. Recently, he ventured into fragrance with French perfumer Frédéric Malle and launched JUSPEACE, a charity foundation aiming to combat substance abuse in South Korea.
Born Kwon Ji-Yong, G-DRAGON hails from Seoul, South Korea. He became a key figure in K-Pop at age 13 and debuted his solo album, Heartbreaker, in 2009, which topped Korea’s Gaon chart. His 2012 EP, One of a Kind, topped the Billboard World Albums chart and featured hits like “THAT XX” and “CRAYON.” His sophomore album, COUP D’ETAT, also soared to the top of the Gaon chart.
G-DRAGON first rose to fame with BIGBANG under YG Entertainment. BIGBANG’s 2008 album Remember became a major hit in Korea, while their releases in Japan achieved Gold certification. Though the group eventually pursued individual projects, they reunited in 2018 with “FLOWER ROAD,” a sentimental track that brought all members together once again.
The star has an exciting lineup ahead, with plans for live shows around the world. Fans can also catch him performing at the MAMA Awards in Japan on November 23, his first appearance there in nearly a decade. Stay tuned for more updates as G-DRAGON’s remarkable journey continues to evolve.
