(KRON) — The area around Gilroy was rattled by a series of earthquakes Wednesday morning. The first, a preliminary magnitude 4.3, struck around 6:16 a.m. and was epicentered about 5 miles east of Gilroy, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Shake reports from the quake were minimal, but the quake was felt as far away as San Jose and Fremont, the USGS said.
Two subsequent aftershocks, one a 2.7, the other a 3.9, struck a few minutes later. Both were a few miles east of Gilroy. There were no reports of injuries or damages in relation to any of the quakes.
